IMAP auditors survey
an organization’s steam heat supply and condensate return systems
incorporating the use of state-of-the-art industry software and
instruments for detecting the operability and concise profile of
existing steam traps and replacement/repair requirements. The IMAP
steam trap program can identify repairs required in the system,
classify each steam trap, summarize, and identify dollar saving
through reduction of steam loss. We will also conduct a visual of the
steam tracing system from the steam header supply system to the
condensate header return system.
What does a Heat Tracing Auditor do
-
Follows industry standard guidelines
-
Conducts infrared inspection of all
heat-tracing components
-
Conducts infrared inspection of
insulation and protective jacketing
-
Integrates insulation resistance test
results, amperage reading OHM reading and operational test of
temperature controller results into one comprehensive report
-
Mark P&ID drawings identifying location
and status of heat management systems within your facility;
-
Provides detailed reports on HMS
throughout the facility;
-
Recommends repairs to prioritize
maintenance needs;
IMAP Audits Inc. developed a systematic approach to meet preventative
maintenance requirements. Using IMAP’s leading edge technology, audits
are conducted to identify where problems exist and the physical
condition of the fireproofed systems. Results of the audit are
tracked using IMAP’s leading edge software by integrating audit
results into engineer’s drawings and plant isometrics and
incorporating digital imaging for ease of identification. These
records become an invaluable risk management tool. By identifying
where problems exist, prioritizing maintenance requirements and how to
approach repairs if problems exist, increases plant safety and reduces
business risk exponentially.
