IMAP
is proprietary web-based software helping you conduct structured,
professional energy audits. It helps owners visualize, schedule and plan
work thereby maintaining safe, reliable and energy efficient facilities.
IMAP is a training program helping you conduct facility audits. Our own
professionals can support you in conducting audits for your customers, or in
specific markets, can conduct full audits for facility owners. Once you have
been trained to use IMAP, you are then eligible to
become a Qualified IMAP Auditor. Inquire about our training sessions and
begin performing structured audits today!
WHAT
IS AN IMAP AUDITOR
An IMAP Auditor is someone
who conducts an audit on an organization’s insulation systems for the
purpose of identifying opportunities to maximize energy efficiency. This
includes a detailed audit of the insulation systems on piping and equipment
and recommending repairs and/or replacement of insulation systems to
increase overall efficiency and reduce fuel operating costs.
An IMAP Auditor is an
experienced professional trained in the use of the IMAP proprietary software
and is a certified “insulation energy appraiser” who can focus on the
job at hand and is an experienced professional capable of accessing the
necessary repairs required on all of the piping systems and equipment.
WHAT
DOES AN IMAP AUDITOR DO
An
IMAP Auditor fulfills the following roles;
-
Conduct audit on insulation
systems
and develop
a
thermal insulation efficiency
management plan;
-
Conduct an insulation
audit to identify energy saving opportunities throughout the facility;
-
Recommends
repair of insulation systems to optimize efficiency of operating
conditions;
-
Evaluate and present
insulation energy efficiency opportunities;
-
Define thermal
insulation efficiency targets and review performance against targets;
-
Identify potential
Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) problems;
WHY
HIRE AN IMAP AUDITOR
Without someone who can
provide assistance for ensuring that all energy systems are running
efficiently, problems and efficiencies can be overlooked until they become
crises or an organization may have potential savings they do not know exist.
These inefficiencies create unnecessary costs that lower an organization’s
profitability and competitiveness. On the other hand, an IMAP Auditor can
help an organization reduce energy and operating costs, in the short term
through sound day-to-day insulation energy management, and in the long-term,
through integrated energy planning. In addition to financial savings of
energy and money, the improved energy efficiency can increase productivity,
lengthen equipment life and help an organization meet its environmental and
safety goals.
WHAT
STEPS CAN AN IMAP AUDITOR RECOMMEND
Typically, IMAP Auditors use three energy saving strategies;
-
Best
practices; Behavioral measures that require no capitol outlay, such as
recommending repairs that can lead to safe efficient facilities;
-
Low cost
improvements; Steps that require moderate investment, such as reparing
insulation systems based on industry accepted guidelines;
-
Medium to
high-cost improvements; Measures that require large investments, such as
complete insulation system removal and replacement
COULD YOUR BUSINESS
BENEFIT FROM AN IMAP AUDITOR
Smart business owners and facility managers know
that sound energy management is an essential component of successful
business performance. They also know that energy management can best provide
long-term savings when it is integrated into business management practices.
The problem is that even though building owners and managers may recognize
energy-saving opportunities in their facilities, they often lack the time,
internal resources, or the skills needed to transform the opportunities into
reality. With insulation being the single most important factor to
consider in controlling energy costs, the solution, for an ever-growing
number of industry and
organizations, is to contact a Qualified IMAP Auditor. Our certified
“Insulation Energy Appraisers”, using the IMAP proprietary software will
identify all of your thermal insulation energy saving opportunities. Large
institutional, commercial, manufacturing and industrial organizations committed to improving their overall energy efficiency and environmental
performance can benefit from having an IMAP audit performed.
